The Kindergarden has started and we have been playing and having fun with the kids in the ages 3-6. Besides that we had Kids´ Club for 10-14 years old children on Wednesday evening. It´s good to see that someone is spending their time giving comfort, stability and love to the children...
On Thursday afternoon we went to a village believing that we´ll have a meeting with the teenagers, 15-18 years. When they started to drop in we realized that either the Romanians are very small for their ages ( which also is true ) or then these kids actually were kids.. But we tried to be flexible and adjusted the program a little bit..
Friday was a community day, spending time together with the base people here. We also got a celebrated visitor from our homecountry. Our great leader from Rovaniemi arrived here and is spending the last week here with us! Fantastic! In the afternoon some of us went to Bazna to swim in a salt warm water spring. The first impression seeing the brown water wasn´t maybe the best..and the next chock came when one of our girls opened the door to the dressing room, staring in man´s eyes.. she slammed the door, turned around and was sure that this was the wrong door. Guess if we all were surprised when the Romanians told us just to go in..ooops.. obviously it was common..luckily there were small private rooms to change clothes in.. Sooo, still a bit confused we went to take a shower. We could clearly see that it was a picture of a woman on the door. But somehow, accordingly to what we know about men´s and women´s voices, this voice we heard was too dark to be a woman´s. We were right.. Out from the shower stepped no one else than our Romanian male friend. We got a good laugh.. :) ( obs! it was he who was in the wrong shower not we... ) When we finally made it to the pool it was such a nice experience, and definitely worth it!
Today we have had our weekly day off. Some of us has been hanging on the base while some went for adventures somewhere else.. :))
